The most iconic art fest, Serendipity Art Festival Goa, 2017 is back and is on-going.
It is the fascinating eight-day festival which kicked off on 15th December and will continue until 22nd December. Considered as Goa’s finest and elite art fest, SAF-Goa 2017 has been appreciated at the international level too. The preview of the festival took place at the Chandelier Room, Adil Shah Palace, Panjim.
The main aim of organizing this festival is to showcase different artistic talents from Goa and other states of India. Moreover, it helps in pushing the Goa tourism further, especially during the peak season. The festival is organised at various locations of the city, and features magnificent stage sets, seamless transport connectivity, showcasing 70 performing arts genres and photography collection.
SAF-Goa 2017 has ten stages, 900 artists, 70 shows and murals at the buildings and structures facing Panjim.
The SAF-Goa 2017 will feature multiple activities. One of the key highlights was the exhibition “The Ground Beneath My Feet” that took place at the jetty of Mandovi River. Next was the “Serendipity Barefoot School of Craft-Made in Goa” curated by Annapurna Germimella showcasing the selective craft, architecture and education.
Apart from these, visitors can explore various events including the Photography collection curated by Dinesh Khanna and Prashant Panjiar, Craft programme curated by Manjari Nirula and Annapurna Garimella, Theatre performance curated by Lillete Dubey and Anuradha Kapur and many other events. Another major highlight of the event is the Culinary Art that focuses on local produce and regional flavours curated by Manu Chandra and Odette Mascarenhas.
