If you have recently seen the new S-Cross from Maruti Suzuki, I’m sure that you are in awe.
The Bold, Big Brother
When you see the bold new S-Cross the first feature that’s going to grab your attention is the vertical chrome grill on the front adorning the Suzuki insignia. Maruti calls S-Cross a premium crossover, and with the new design elements, it’s apparent why! Maruti gave the new S-Cross new aggressive headlights with DRLs and Projector headlamps, a redesigned hood, new front and back bumpers with aerodynamic mirrors on the side. Coming to the rear end of the vehicle, it has new LED backlights that adds to the modern look that the company aims to achieve.
The New Interior
The changes don’t just apply to outside cosmetics as the S-Cross get a whole new instrument cluster that sports a touchscreen infotainment system complete with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The top end (Alpha) adds in Piano finish interior elements with leather upholstery.
Under The Hood Changes
The drive comes from a 1.3-liter diesel engine with Maruti’s smart-hybrid technology. Maruti decided to ditch the 1.5-liter diesel engine used in the old S-Cross as a cost-cutting measure. With this new smart-hybrid technology system you are getting brake energy regeneration along with a motor-assisted idle start. What this all means for you is more fuel efficiency and lesser emissions!
